Purpose-built to Identify Treatment-Eligible MASH Patients

The approval of therapies for patients with non-cirrhotic metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH) has changed what providers need from non-invasive testing.

Historically, non-invasive tests have been used to identify advanced fibrosis and cirrhosis while helping assess the risk of future liver-related complications.1 Today, providers face an additional challenge: identifying treatment-eligible patients earlier in the disease course, before progression to advanced liver disease.

As treatment pathways evolve, understanding future risk remains important but must be complemented by accurate fibrosis staging. Together, this helps identify treatment-eligible patients while informing long-term patient management.

MASH Precis™ is a blood-based test purpose-built to help identify treatment-eligible F2-F3 patients (≥18 years of age) and support fibrosis assessment in the therapeutic era of MASH.

Why Early Identification Matters

MASH Often Progresses Silently

MASH often progresses silently, and may remain unrecognized until fibrosis has advanced, underscoring the importance of earlier assessment in individuals with cardiometabolic risk factors. As fibrosis progresses, the risk of cirrhosis, hepatocellular carcinoma and other serious liver-related complications increases.2-3

An estimated 60-80 million Americans have metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD), including 15-20 million who may have MASH,4 underscoring the need for scalable approaches to patient identification and fibrosis assessment.

Built for Today’s Treatment Decisions

Many existing non-invasive tests (NITs) were developed to assess advanced fibrosis. MASH Precis was designed with a different purpose: helping identify treatment-eligible F2-F3 patients and addressing an emerging need in evolving MASH care pathways.

Developed and validated using 906 biopsy-confirmed adult MASH patients, the proprietary MASH Precis Fibrosis Score utilizes an algorithm optimized to distinguish F2-F3 fibrosis from F0-F1 fibrosis and F4 cirrhosis.5

Actionable Results in a Single Report

MASH Precis combines fibrosis staging, prognostic risk assessment and biomarker insights into a single report designed to support patient evaluation and clinical decision making.

The report provides:

  • Proprietary MASH Precis Fibrosis Score
  • Enhanced Liver Fibrosis (ELF®) Risk Score
  • Individual biomarker results

Together, these results provide complementary insights into disease severity and future liver-related risk.

Transforming MASH Management

MASH Precis was purpose-built to help identify treatment-eligible patients through objective fibrosis staging, prognostic risk assessment and biomarker insights from a simple blood draw.
